You can relax knowing that your CityLux therapist is trained in Covid-19 safety. We require all CityLux therapists to hold a Barbicide COVID-19 certificate for hygiene, issued for the professional beauty industry.

All CityLux therapists (and their households) have to be symptom-free to work. We also encourage our freelance therapists to take 2x weekly at-home tests as per Government recomendations and as healthcare professionals all therapists have option to vaccinate.

CityLux Therapists are Covid-19 Trained

We have updated our Health & Safety guidelines with new hygiene and safety protocols as our therapist health and safety just likes yours has always been a top priority. We will look after you in the safest way possible.

What Changes Have You Introduced?
We have introduced enhanced hygiene and safety protocols for all at-home massage & beauty treatments.
CityLux is leading award-winning luxury mobile spa company in London, we have followed Government Guidelines and Professional Beauty industry organisations to create best COVID-19 safety hygiene protocols.


It will now be required for all CityLux therapists:
* In line with Government guidelines, all therapists can wear face masks as optional, but this is not mandatory
* Increase use of Hand-sanitizers and hand wash
* Shoes and extra bags will be left at the entrance by the door
* Equipment kit will contain anti-viral soap, disposable towels/paper sheets, wipes and sprays to sanitise hands, tools and any surface areas used in your treatment.
* Therapist will arrive 10min early (if possible) to follow all Health&Safety procedures. Therapist as per usual will wash their hands and forearms for min of 20-30seconds with hand-soap and use hand sanitisers before and after the treatment
* All equipment will be cleaned with antibacterial products before and after the treatment (please allow extra time for therapist to clean up)
* Therapist will only use client provided towels. CityLux table covers will not be used till further notice.
* Hold a Barbicide COVID-19 certificate for hygiene, issued for the professional beauty industry.
* Therapist will NOT leave any rubbish/tissues/face mask/mouth covering at premises, but safely dispose everything, and take it away and recycle accordingly

We are also encouraging therapists to: Cycle, walk or use less public transport where possible (or use personal or CityLux car where possible)

What We Ask From Clients (when making a booking)
If you feel unwell
Please avoid booking with us if you’re unwell. You will protect not only your therapist but their future clients and their households as well. Our therapists reserve the right to refuse to perform the massage if they believe you are exhibiting any flu like symptoms.

COVID-19 related screening questions to be asked of clients ahead of their appointment, including:
Have you had the recent onset of a new continuous cough?
– Do you have a high temperature?
– Have you noticed a loss of, or change in, normal sense of taste or smell?

If the client has any of these symptoms, however mild, they should stay at home and reschedule their appointment, we have very flexible cancellation policy

As this time for health and safety is top priority for everyone, we kindly ask you to prepare for your CityLux treatment in the following ways:

  • You are symptom free and have not been in direct contact with anyone who has symptoms in last 7x days at least. Please cancel your appointment if you or a family member is feeling unwell.
  • Choose an area for your treatment which is well ventilated by open doors or windows if possible.
  • Clean and disinfect the treatment area
  • Ensure your therapist has easy access to hand-washing facilities.
  • After your treatment, please disinfect treatment area and any areas in which your therapist has came into contact.

What To Expect From Your Treatment Now

  • On arrival your therapist may be wearing a face mask (its optional) . All shoes and personal items will be left by the door.
  • Therapists will not use handshake when greeting
  • Please show your therapist to the treatment area you have prepared
  • Your therapist will prepare area and equipment and ask where therapist can wash hands according to COVID-19 hygiene requirements and change into uniform.
  • At the end of your treatment any equipment used will be sanitised and the treatment area cleaned.
